Abstract
Este artículo pretende reflexionar sobre la consideración de la Inspección educativa como servicio público; para ello es necesario, en primer lugar, definir qué entendemos en nuestro contexto por servicio público y demostrar que la Inspección educativareúne, por trayectoria histórica, por ordenamiento legal y por prácticas hacia la comunidad educativa, las condiciones necesarias y las características suficientes para ser considerada como servicio público esencial y de calidad que vele e impulse el derecho a la educación.
