Presentation issue 26º

Dear readers:

We present this new issue 26 with very significant developments such as the new process of external peer review, the incorporation, therefore, of a team of external reviewers, the non-existence of a central or monographic issue, the reduction in the number of articles published and the consolidation of the OJS content manager.

In relation to the content, you can read the articles that have been selected by the external reviewers and the articles that were presented at the time as a communication to the XIV National Congress of ADIDE-Federation, held in Valladolid in October 2016. The latter have not taken process of external review because they were already selected by the scientific committee of the congress.

In this new issue we have implemented the external peer review process. This means that each article goes through a longer and more objective selection and editing process. The articles that arrive directly to the journal have followed this procedure. The articles that at the time were communications to the Congress and that are published in this magazine already had their specific process and therefore, in this issue, these articles have not passed the peer review process.

The list of external reviewers we have requested their incorporation and who have accepted can be found in the section of reviewers. We identify those who have accepted in general and those who have worked on the current number.

The peer review process has led us to make two parallel decisions. On the one hand we believe that it is necessary to limit the number of articles published since the non-professional editorial team can not manage a large number of articles and, on the other hand, the same review process means that certain articles that do not exceed the requirements of editors and reviewers are not finally published.

We have also dispensed with the monographic subject that forced us to search for themes or authors. For now we do not follow the model of other journals that assign the coordination of the number to a professional of recognized prestige. However, it is an aspect that could be recovered in the future.

Regarding the content manager of the magazine (OJS), it must be said that the transition has been successful. All the articles of the previous content manager (joomla) have had to be moved to the current one. OJS is specially designed for the management of scientific journals. You can find extended information on the web www.ojs.com.

We want to thank the work of Isabel Pueyo who for many years has helped in the publication of this magazine. What has sometimes been difficult to find among the classmates has been given with great generosity by a teacher. That is why our gratitude is double and the educational inspection must recognize it.

To publish the number 26 means to begin to publish the following one that will be published at the end of the month of June. The main novelty of the next issue is the application in all the articles of the external peer review system and the incorporation of the DOI. This digital identifier allows to provide information on each published article as well as its immediate location on the Internet, making it an important improvement for a publication system.

We remember the possibility of sending letters to the director, either to clarify or rectify an article, or to report a case that is of special interest. It is also possible to send book reviews according to the usual format. We hope you enjoy the number and improve our teaching profession.

A greeting.
