The preparation and interpretation of educational center indicators

Abstract
Se propone como instrumento para mejorar los resultados de los centros educativos, la utilización de los indicadores como técnica y orientación para conocer la situación y tomar decisiones de mejora. La evaluación del propio centro se considera un proceso sistemático orientado a enjuiciar su valor para mejorar su acción educativa y educadora. Para ello se parte del concepto de indicador, entendido este como enunciado o criterio explícito e inteligible que permite medir los hechos y procesos educativos que ocurren en el propio centro. A partir de aquí proponen un diseño experimental organizado sobre la estructura real de los centros.
