Social and citizen competence in LOE

Authors

  • Carlos Díez Hernando

Abstract

Starting out from the general concept of competence -i.e. the suitable way to use abilities, attitudes, knowledge and experience to solve efficiently a problem in a specific context-, the author tackles the social and civil competence, with proposals of exploitation in the classroom. The real value of this competence is based on the intention that Europeans citizens may feel themselves as active members of the communities that they belong to, with the aim of giving a collective response to future challenges.
