Proposals to improve mathematical competencies

Abstract
This paper presents the Math improvement plan developed by the entire teaching staff of the secondary school "Boabdil" located in Lucerna, Córdoba, an Andalusian town in the south of Spain. Spurred by the academic results achieved by their pupils in the so-called "diagnostic" evaluation, the teaching staff initiated an internal and in-depth reflection process which brought the present proposals to fruition. The main aim of the issued statements was to develop a secondary school improvement plan on competencies and the learning of Mathematics. This allows for an overarching conceptual framework which captures the perspectives of mathematics teaching and learning at whichever educational level.
