EDUTEAMS: una herramienta de inteligencia artificial para la formación de equipos diversos, complementarios y equitativos en el aprendizaje colaborativo

Resumen
El trabajo en equipo es una competencia clave en la educación del siglo XXI, pero su desarrollo en los centros educativos enfrenta retos persistentes: la colaboración no surge de manera automática y la formación de equipos basada en criterios aleatorios o intuitivos suele generar desigualdades y baja cohesión. Este artículo presenta una experiencia educativa y tecnológica centrada en EDUTEAMS, una plataforma gratuita desarrollada por el Instituto de Investigación en Inteligencia Artificial (IIIA-CSIC) que utiliza algoritmos de inteligencia artificial para formar equipos diversos, complementarios y equitativos en contextos educativos. Se describe su diseño, funcionamiento y validación inicial en un estudio descriptivo de innovación, basado en su aplicación en Formación Profesional (FP) y educación superior. Los resultados evidencian mejoras en cohesión, participación y rendimiento, además de reducir la carga organizativa del profesorado. En conjunto, EDUTEAMS representa una innovación pedagógica y tecnológica que promueve la equidad y la eficacia en el aprendizaje colaborativo.
